Book Talk with Mau van Duren

April 13, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The U.S. Capitol Historical Society will host a book talk with Mau van Duren, author of Many Heads and Many Hands: James Madison’s Search for a More Perfect Union. Van Duren’s work examines foundational ideas contributing to American democracy, specifically the Constitution. “This lively and entertaining book begins a much-needed conversation about the modern history that our Founders knew so well and which our generation has largely forgotten,” says Dr. Lynn Uzzell, Scholar in Residence at Montpelier. Many Heads and Many Hands traces those threads as far back as medieval Europe.

The event will be  free and open to the public, and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase the book, which van Duren will sign.

Pre-registration is requested.
