DC History Grad: Taking Care of Your Brain

November 16, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Taking Care of Your Brain: A Roundtable Discussion on Mental Health and Graduate Studies

Come to the University of Maryland on Thursday, November 16th from 4 to 6pm for an informal group discussion about dealing with mental illness in graduate school. Topics under discussion will include figuring out options for care within the DC metro area, the decision to disclose (or not!) to your advisor, looking for and finding support in your cohort and wider campus community, as well as practicing self-care in an academic environment. The round table moderators are mentally ill and will do their best to create a safe space for all participants to open up and feel comfortable speaking. We look forward to meeting people from across the DC metro area, and hope to see you there!
