The Greater Washington Jewish History Colloquium
In partnership with the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington
Hosted by GWU’s Judaic Studies Program, the Jewish History Colloquium (JHC) provides the hub for faculty, postdoctoral students, independent researchers and graduate students working in the field of modern Jewish history (broadly defined) at the Greater D.C. area.
Format: Discussions will focus on pre-circulated papers. The format will be 15 to 25 minute presentation by the author(s) of the papers, followed by a Q&A session and a lunch.The colloquium is open to the public, but audience is kindly requested to RSVP.
Venue: Unless stated otherwise, all meetings will take place the I. Edward Kiev Collection Room, at the 7th floor of GW’s Gelman Library, 2130 H Street NW, Washington, DC 20052. (Metro: Foggy Bottom–GWU Station; BK, OR, SV lines).
Please bring your GW card or an ID in order to enter the Gelman Library.
Time: The colloquium meets three times each semester on Fridays, starting at 10:30am and ending by 1:30pm.
