Author’s Talk—The Life and Times of General Andrew Pickens: Revolutionary War Hero, American Founder

Rod Andrews, Jr., professor of history at Clemson University, discusses and signs copies of his biography of South Carolina militia commander Andrew Pickens. The book explores Pickens’ life as a general during the American Revolution, his moral conflict as a slave-holding planter, and his pursuit of a peaceful relationship between his country and southern Native American tribes.
