Please join us as the National Churchill Library and Center welcomes acclaimed historian Niall Ferguson for a discussion of his new book,The Square and the Tower: Networks, Hierarchies and the Struggle for Global Power, and Churchill’s use of networks as a war leader.

Niall Ferguson is the Milbank Family Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and a senior fellow at the Center for European Studies, Harvard, where he served for twelve years as the Laurence A. Tisch Professor of History.

He is the author of fourteen books, including The Pity of War: Explaining World War One; The Ascent of Money A Financial History of the World; Civilization: the West and the Rest; and Kissinger, 1923-1968: The Idealist, the first of a two volume biography of the former secretary of state.

He is married to the author and women’s rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
