United States Capitol Historical Society Lecture

Joseph Abriatis, construction manager in the Office of the Architect of the Capitol, will speak about the restoration of the Capitol Dome. He will discuss the project’s three phases, the restoration of the cast iron, making new castings and windows, and the paint selection process. The event will begin at noon on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 and will conclude at 1pm on Capitol Hill, exact location TBA. The event is free and open to the public, although pre-registration is requested.
