USCHS: With Distance in His Eyes: The Environmental Life and Legacy of Stewart Udall
October 3, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
October 3, Scott Einberger will present With Distance in His Eyes: The Environmental Life and Legacy of Stewart Udall
Scott Einberger is an independent environmental historian and the author of The History of Rock Creek Park: Wilderness and Washington, DC, which he is updating and expanding into a new edition. One of the most significant players of the modern environmental movement, Stewart Udall served as the Secretary of the Interior under Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. During these eight years, the progressive Mormon from rural Arizona ushered in unprecedented conservation and outdoor recreation legislation. Learn about some of these achievements during this author talk with Einberger; book signing and sales will directly follow the presentation.
