October 9: Congressional Briefing on the History of Incarceration

The National History Center of the American Historical Association is pleased to announce our upcoming Congressional briefing. Alex Lichtenstein of Indiana University; Khalil Gibran Muhammad of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture; and Heather Ann Thompson of the University of Michigan will discuss the history of incarceration and prison reform in the United States. Professor Dane Kennedy, Director of the National History Center, will moderate the discussion.

The briefing will be held on Friday, October 9, at 1 PM in Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2226.
